Video: Chelsea Fans Channel presenters accuse Eva Carneiro of being venomous, spiteful and vindictive

It was disappointing to see the lads from Chelsea Fans Channel lay into Eva Carneiro in their latest video. Rory and Jack appeared to be hurt by the news that the former Blues team doctor was taking Jose Mourinho to court.

They couldn’t believe that Carneiro was continuing her pursuit of justice after also ‘going after’ the club in a separate legal action. They added that she had received a job offer so she should just ‘move on’.

But she shouldn’t. She has every right to ‘go after’ Mourinho for the way that he bullied and humiliated her. It can be quite traumatic to be pushed out of a working environment where you previously felt comfortable and settled.

Mourinho didn’t even receive any disciplinary action from the FA for his antics thanks to a disgracefully shoddy investigation that didn’t involve contacting Carneiro.

To accuse Carneiro of being venomous, to say that she is being spiteful or vindictive is so close-minded that it’s embarrassing. The presenters should think of whether they would tell someone they loved to just drop it after they had been treated in such a disrespectful fashion. I think not.

It seems as though the lads are speaking off the cuff, trying to appeal to the angry mob, and this is silly. A measured response would acknowledge that her legal pursuit is perfectly valid and noble. If Chelsea fans want to blame anyone for the mess involving Carneiro’s departure from the club, blame Mourinho. See the video below.
